Fasco was established in 1978 to distribute standard fasteners to OEM’s in the Chicago area and Midwest. The company grew steadily and, over 20 years, developed a solid reputation for customer service.
In 2002, new ownership acquired Fasco. A new management team took shape. Investment was made in Information Technology to facilitate Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Programs with customers.
Fasco has been an ISO9000 registered supplier since 1994. We are currently registered to ISO9001-2000.
Satellite warehouses were added to service new VMI customers in the South and along the border with Mexico ("Maquillas").
In 2004 Fasco implemented a new logistics strategy which shortened lead times and reduced risk associated with importing.
In early 2006 Fasco acquired a packaging or "kit line" (complete with all the "bells and whistles") designed to meet the stringent quality requirements of the builders hardware industry.
Today, Fasco recognizes a new market paradigm: customers rely on fewer suppliers to provide a broader offering ("market basket") and commensurate engineering support. Technical staff has been added to work with customers and develop new links in the supply chain.
